Advertise HereInspired by metal rock bands, these costumes would fit the person who loves to express his or her love for rock music. Up to now, people still wear them. You only need to tinker a little bit on those Goth clothing to make them 80’s inspired.
For men, think of metal bands and you’ll never go wrong. Dye hair in different colors at a time. If you have long hair, which is actually the best portrayal of this Goth costume, make it curly and tease it to be twice the size of your head. If you have short hair, you could spike it up.
Wear leather studded leather jackets or vests and have the inside shirt – the one that shows out, ripped. This will make you look badass. Match it with leather jeans, or black jeans if you prefer its comfort and let a chain hang loose on the side. Wear buckled belts and boots with thick rubber soles, thick ones that make you an inch or two taller.
For accessories, use a headband, or a bandanna. And if you have piercings, that’s a plus. Also, if you don’t mind wearing make-ups, use heavy eyeliners and black lipstick. For added effect, wear accessories with religious insignias.
For women, it’s pretty much the female version of the guys with added flair because of the laces. Wear mesh tops and overly designed leather jackets, leather skirts, and daintily embroidered leggings.
You could wear knee-high boots or ankle boots, either one looks hot. Do wear low-neck tank tops underneath the jackets to show off some cleavage.
Make the hair really big, and add huge bows. For added accessories, wear fingerless lace gloves and necklaces and earrings with large cross pendants. Be heavy on the eye-liner and dark eye shadow and finish the make up with black lipstick.
Always remember to be on the ‘dark side’ and make your hair truly from the 80’s. Because with all the Goths around these generation, it’s really the hair that will make you stand out from the crowd.
